Abstract
Sustainable resource recovery and recycling forms an integral part of a developed and developing economy. However the importance of this is largely ignored. The escalating energy prices coupled with the resource reduction of the virgin raw materials have now necessitated the recovery of all available resources even from wastes. This talk will look into the options of sustainable resource recovery and recycling of the special electrical and electronics waste with a substantial added advantage of huge energy savings. As the world is constantly looking into producing more cheap power from the available and foreseeable sources, the aim of this talk will be to conserve the available energy resources so as to promote its sustainable and efficient utilization especially in the process industry to recover and recycle the valuable resources.
